Dr. Casie Carr has practiced at 1st Choice Chiropractic & Acupuncture since 2012. She is the niece of Dr. Connie Smith and Dr. Timothy Trax who founded 1st Choice Chiropractic in 1987. Dr. Carr graduated from Evergreen High School where she competed in equestrian events, choir and served as her 4-H club president. Afterwards, she continued her education at the University of Toledo where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with Honors.

Dr. Carr obtained her Doctorate at National University of Health Sciences outside Lombard, IL and also became certified in Acupuncture at this time. She has also recently become certified in Dry Needling. Dr. Carr has continued her education to include nutritional support with Standard Process supplements and physical rehabilitation and dry needling. In addition, she has taken continuing education hours to specialize in Chiropractic care for infants, children, young athletes, and pregnant women. She is also experienced in personal injury and workers compensation cases. Dr. Carr is well rounded in her practice to serve your entire family’s chiropractic and acupuncture needs.

Outside of the office, Dr. Carr enjoys being with her husband and sons. Together, they enjoy traveling, camping on the weekends and family time at the lake.

Dr. Carr takes great joy in providing exceptional chiropractic, acupuncture, and nutritional care to her patients and their families. She has mastered numerous techniques, allowing her to treat her patients as effectively as possible, regardless of age or size. She also values patient education and tries to guide patients on their health care journey outside the office. Lastly, Dr. Carr has a close network of other medical providers she works with to best serve her patients’ needs. If she can’t help you, she will know where to send you for the proper continuing care you need.

Dr. Kailey Frontine has been proudly serving patients at 1st Choice Chiropractic since 2025. A Toledo native, she is passionate about providing personalized, high-quality care to the community she calls home.

Dr. Frontine graduated from Whitmer High School before continuing her education at the University of Toledo, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in February 2025, graduating as valedictorian of her class.

Committed to ongoing education and excellence in patient care, Dr. Frontine has pursued advanced training in women’s health and pregnancy, nutritional support through Standard Process supplementation, and is certified in dry needling to support natural healing. She has experience treating a wide range of patients, including young athletes, pediatrics, hypermobile patients, as well as those recovering from personal injuries and work-related conditions.

Dr. Frontine takes a patient-centered approach, tailoring care plans to meet each individual’s needs and goals. She values collaboration and maintains strong relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, well-rounded care for her patients. She specializes in Activator technique, diversified technique, Thompson Technique, and flexion-distraction.

Outside of the office, Dr. Frontine enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Scout. In her free time, she loves reading, walking, and being with family and friends. She and her husband also enjoy traveling, especially to Navarre, Florida.
